Transformer Rectifier

Cathodic Protection Transformer Rectifiers are AC powered electrical equipment that provides direct current for impressed current cathodic protection systems. AFIC transformer rectifiers (TR) have been used extensively throughout the Middle East for many years and are designed to withstand the extremes of temperature and humidity which are encountered throughout the region.

Rated output can be variable depending on the required ratings.

Air Cooled Transformer Rectifier

AFIC Air Cooled Series rectifiers provide a quality product specifically designed to meet the requirements of our clients. Air cooled rectifiers are used in applications where cost can be a factor or at far locations where maintenance is a question.

This series is not supplied with the full line of advanced features.

Standard Features:

• Single door cabinet with removable panel
• NEMA 3R rated cabinet, lockable
• Available in 11 gauge (min.) hot dipped galvanized steel enclosure
• All cabinet hardware stainless steel, all brass/copper hardware has electro-less nickel plated finish
• Available with pole or wall mounting
• Single & three phase inputs available, 60/50 Hz optional
• 25 output steps, terminal block adjustment
• Transformer min. 95% efficient, Class H temperature rated
• Overload / short protection provided by fully magnetic trip circuit breaker and fusing
• Silicon diode rectification bridge c/w surge protection
• Single 3 1/2" switched DC metering, accuracy +/- 2%
• Standard MOV AC and DC lightning protection on all rectifiers

Oil Cooled Transformer Rectifier


AFIC Oil Cooled Series rectifier provides a quality product specifically designed to meet the requirements of our clients. They are specially designed for safe and long term operations in harsh environments such as desert and tropical locations. The transformer rectifiers components are housed in hot dipped galvanize enclosures divided into main section - oil tank and a control cabinet.

Standard Features:

• Welded frame chassis with eyebolts for lift out capabilities
• NEMA 3R rated cabinet, lockable
• Available in 11 gauge (min.) hot dipped galvanized steel enclosure
• All cabinet hardware stainless steel, all brass/copper hardware has electro-less nickel plated finish
• Available with base channel for floor or pad mounting
• Single and three phase inputs available, 60/50 Hz optional
• Minimum 25 output steps, tap link bar adjustment
• Transformer min. 95% efficient, Class H temperature rated
• Overload / short protection provided by fully magnetic trip circuit breaker and fusing
